Offered for sale is a very nice, and rare stoneware stein for a Reservist Anton Breyer of the 3. Eskadron Garde Kurassier Regiment, 1900-1903.
There are No chips or cracks to the stoneware stein. 1/2 Liter size marked.
The colors are bright and crisp. There is not any wear to the painted words or highlights of the panels (other than a small area of wear to the Eagle on the lower front central panel). In some of the photos the camera flash caused a "washed out" look to a small area on the photo. You will be able to see that this was caused by the camera flash when you look at further fotos of the same area on the stein when I shot a different angle of the stein.
The gold painted band at the top lip edge and the bottom of the stein shows expected wear and use for a 123 year old stein, as does the gold wash on the beaded ring highlights around the circumference of the stein.
The mounted kurassier figure wears a parade eagle on the top of the helmet, which I have tried to show with different angles in the photos posted below.
