I have never seen this before. There appears to be an officer's twin ring spike on this enlisted Bavarian M95:

The Bavarian Kokarde appears to be a repro as well.

It does look as if the spike was fitted onto an EM base... private purchase? I dunno. The cockade does look like a repro, because that helmet looks to have been left out in the sun for about three years or packed into a suitcase and carried around the outback for around ten. The price... #-o

Yes, I would agree, that shell has been baked in some old "outback attic". It is extremely dry for the finish to have that look. :thumbsdown:

It may be that a lot of that lacquer is hanging on by a thread.
