Hi ladies and Gentlemen,

I'm normally a very private collector but thought I would share a new piece I picked up yesterday.

Maybe someone has seen one like it before and maybe has more information about where and when it was manufactured. If needed I could post photos of the markings on the bottom.

I hope all the other MG enthusiast enjoy it as much as I do. Pictures really don't do it justice IMO its really beautifully done.

Just kidding, don't take it seriously. You could try painting it according to historical accuracy — if done well, that would significantly increase its collectible value.🥳
 
Thanks for the positive comments, I'm really happy fellow members like it as much as I do. I was really happy to be able to add it to my collection. I do have several old statues of German and Austrian soldiers depicting different scenes but have never seen a MG crew, so I was really excited get it. :p

I'm certainly not an expert on Porcelain by any means but do enjoy its beauty. I've always admired the beautiful collections while visiting Castles and grand houses in Europe. Also loved visiting the factories of Meissen and Nymphenburg ect while on vacation with the wife until we got to the gift shop at the end of the tour. :cry::cry:

Anyway, after a little looking on the web I was able to find a factory named C. G. Schierholz & Sohn Porzellanmanufaktur a German porcelain manufacturer which was founded by Heuäcker Brothers in 1817 which has a mark which I think maybe a match.

Here are the markings on the bottom just encase a fellow member may have more knowledge on the subject is willing to share their thoughts.

Although an interesting comment I don't think I will be painting it in more realistic colors. ;):ROFLMAO::LOL:
