Yes, we were able to renegotiate the group rate with no increase in the price. $79 with breakfast included. The group rate is loaded in the system, and you can make a reservation by calling the La Quinta at : Airport & Expo La Quinta Inn & Suites

If you have already made reservations please call them sometime to ensure that your room has the proper rate and is credited against the pickelhaube.com group. This makes it a lot easier for the following year on the negotiations.


The name of the group is pickelhaubes.com and all you must do is tell them you are with the group to get a reservation under your name at the rate of $79. There is a no-show fee. So if you get a confirmed reservation and you do not cancel It., they will zap you. I recommend you get your reservations in quickly.

Last year Jerry kicked off the who is going list on 12 November. This year we are starting a few days early! So add your name if you are going to attend SOS 2011. We have to figure out how much lunchmeat to purchase. this year, there is no intention to have a beer and pizza party but rather two nights of just beer. We are going to reserve the party room Thursday and Friday night. We will start making dinner reservations for the German place shortly. We should have no problem getting tables given a six o'clock sitting when they open.

If you have different ideas or requests for people to do things place them here. Good chance I will have the dog again this year.

I will be there as usual. I don't know my plans yet.

I will be paying for the lifetime membership so I can get in early. I should have done that years ago but most of the time I flew in Thursday morning so it never mattered as I landed about 12noon. Last year I drove down the night before.

If anyone has an extra table or part of a table please let me know. Jerry hooked my father and me up last year and that was most appreciated.
 
I'll be there. I plan on attending at least one night of the social hour. thanks for the invitation, I thoroughly enjoyed myself last year. you all are certainly hospitable.
