SOS 2012

Hey Larry,
A few years ago, coming north from Yuma, as I was going through the boarder patrol check point, they waved me through and as our camper passed the drug dog, he got very excited. I stopped quickly and they went around the vehicle, I was afraid that some one had planted drugs on our rig. When the dog came around to the drivers side, my dog looked out the back window. The handler asked if my dog was female, and when I responded affirmatively, he said it was OK to go, as that was his dog's one weakness.

He said well, you're driving a Van, you have Arizona plates and...(insert drumroll here) you fit the profile!!! What! what profile? His response was classic.."you're an old white guy"! Seems those are the ones driving the vans full of narcotics from the border to points North. So now we fly...

If you have not done it you might consider reading Nogales the true life story of one of our members “the cork helmet". Fascinating read about being in a van at the wrong place and the wrong time. Simply fascinating and a great bathroom book as it has 1 million chapters each one about 3 pages!
