Gosh, I don’t think I’ve posted on here in a few years. I took time away from imperial German back in 2019 in order to focus on South Vietnamese militaria, however I’ve decided to come back as the Pickelhaube was the first interest I ever had in regards to militaria.
I’ve done so by picking up a Prussian pioneer officer at SOS 2023 from Tony Cowan. I’ll take better photos this weekend, it’s a nice and honest piece.
For those who have a side collection of steel helmets, pictured in the first photo are Stahlhelm collectors Jerry Rehr and Jan Meland. The latter being the author of German Helmets 1916-45. He’s holding an Ersatz Prussian that I picked out for him. I’m holding a depot repaired m15 that Jerry had picked up.
It was nice meeting Amy Bellars, Brian Loree, and Maxwell (JVPI) this year.
