SOS 2026

It is just 22 days until the OVMS Show Of Shows 2025... but it looks like the 2026 show will be the last weekend of January. I don't know all the details, but it is on the Kentucky Expo Center calendar and I'm hearing this has been confirmed by OVMS.

The "rumor" is that a major convention/trade show bumped SOS in 2026, and OVMS opted for January. I also have it on good authority that the show will be in a smaller hall than usual. It also sounds like the show will be back at the "normal" time in 2027.

More to come I'm sure...

Well Peter nailed it, just got my latest issue of Military Trader magazine, and OVMS has an ad in in it, stating 2026 SOS will be January 29th through 31st.

Well, it is actually warm this week in Louisville! But yes, January is usually cold and there is a risk of snow in the region.

So, couple weeks away, so anyone that is going, please stop by and see Brian and myself at our tables, usually H15 through H18 unless they changed them, but have been there for years, so hope for the same.

I am bringing roughly 24 helmets, and Brian is bringing around 12 to 14, so should have some good stuff to choose from.

See you soon

Yup, going to be interesting bringing things in, have to park then drag everything 1/2 way around to get in, in the past going through the front was easy, but some bad eggs last year ruined it for everyone....

Still a great show

Amy certainly is a force in the pickelhaube market! Have a great vacation Amy! Yes the careless actions of a dealer and his crew in 2024 spoiled it for the rest of us! 😐

This has been a long time coming, but last year I saw the worst behavior I'd ever seen in all my years going to the shows.

It was worse than 2019 during the loadout when the petting zoo was going on and some dealers shouted at the families (moms and kids) lined up to "get out of the way." We've seen dealers park on the sidewalks or block the fire lane to unload/load (like no one else thought of that), slam carts into the doors, etc.

I don't mean to be doom and gloom, but the Ace Hardware show bumping SOS serves as a reminder that our show isn't important. At some point the Expo Center is going to say, "we don't want you." I believe it is a matter of when not if that happens.

Given that many dealers there are merely soft core criminals selling reproduction as real and haven’t an ethical business bone in their body it doesn’t surprise me. When you allow your show to be consistently debased by such characters you reap what you sow.

Hi guys any photos of those 36 Helmets for us less fortunate members at home?

Would love to see how it's all shaking out this year. (y)
