St. Paul show report

I just returned from the show in St. Paul.

I met fellow forum members Jerry R. and Allan Schaefer. It was great
meeting you guys. Allan had some very nice haulb on display and it was
really nice being able to discuss the good and the bad and actually have
an example in my hand to look at. Jerry also had some helmets on
display. I like the reserve helmet.

The show IMO was real quiet compared to previous years. Noticably
fewer dealers and not a very big crowd but weather might have been
a part of that. Other than the helmets that Allan and Jerry brought,
there were only 3 other spikes at the show. Jerry was kind enough
to go to one of the dealers tables with me and point out some issues
with one of the three that I was looking at. ( Jerry-Thank you- I ended
up not buying the helmet but I appreaciate your help with it.)

I went there with cash in my pockets and hoping to buy but walked out
empty handed. I did not even pick up an Iron cross which is rare for
me not to come home without at least one.

Greg- sorry I could not make it, but glad you hooked up with the boy's! Both Jerrry and Allan are good foke :)

Maybe the next one, or if Jerry keeps us in the loop the smaller St. Paul shows would be good to meet at!

:D I agree with Greg, the St. Paul show was good as usual but there were very few pickelhaubes to be had. Talked with Al and saw his great collection, especially the ersatz black filz artillery! Discussed my JZP that I'm refinishing, thanks to Tony's help. Unfortunately the bad news was my Imperial flight badges were looked at and were judged to be fakes also my Bulgarian observer badge was judged a fake also. I think I can still retreive my money from the seller, the only good thing about it. Dick
