Standards of the Seebataillone

Here I show some photos from the Bundesarchiv about the tapes
I hope it's what you want.
Greetings

Great photos
Thank you for the post
Steve
Chris,
I believe you are correct, sir. The 1900 streamer is called a “Banderole “
IMO Dennis is correct
I refer to them as the 1900 Banderole
Here is part of my collection of the 1900 Banderole

More from Bundesarchiv, the I SB streamers...
They would appear to be-
Prince Heinrich 1898
1900 Streamer
China Streamer

No sign of the 1870/71...
Chris,
I was trying to make out the wording on the Paradebänder, but not sure of the dates.
It looks like:

“26 ?? 1898 TSINGTAU CHINA 30 NOV(?) 1898 HEINRICH PRIZ VON PREUSSEN”

Do you know?
Dennis

It looks like you’re right, I don’t know myself.

Then there’s this one, the flag of the 3. Marine Infanterie Regt. It started life as the imperial flag carried by the marine detachment skutari but when they returned to germany in late 1914, it was awarded to the new marine inf regt. But what are their streamers? It looks like german imperial colours plus austro-hungarian too. That would make sense as marine detachment skutari fought under kuk command in bosnia. Anyone know any more about it?
Cheers

Also note that the centennial ribbon brooch is different from that used by other Prussian units.

Chris,

My understanding was that this flag was given to the 3rd Marine Infantry Regt on July 8, 1915. The silk streamers were added similar to a Fahnenbänder as a reminder of the “brotherhood in arms”, using the German and Austro-Hungarian colors.

Great information again, thanks.

Can anyone make out what the writing in capitals on the left says. This is from the Prince Heinrich streamer of the III. Seebataillon.
Cheers
Chris

To me it looks like:
Vom fels
Zum meer (In english: from the mountain to the sea)

Regards, Coert.
