Hallo Steve,
I didn't know that. But it is now on display in the Prussian Museum in Wustrau.
What would be very interesting to me and I am sure to you also;
if we could learn the story of how the museum put this display together.
Do you go to the museum in person?
Could you talk to someone there who knows the real story?
Here are my questions;
We know that Kube sold the H R 15 flag on 24. April 1999
All of the flags brought to Kube were not on the poles.
I have often wondered what happen to the poles?
There were 12 flags sold at the auction
Not one of them had their poles.
What happen to them?
How and where did the museum locate the original H R 15 pole?
It was a shame that the poles were missing, as the Germans
consider the pole the most important thing , as the flags wear out
and are replaced.
The 1870 / 71 came with the flag at the Kube sale.
The Museum was also able to locate the 1900 Banderole of H R 15
I find your post with photos of special interest
I know that H R 15 is a special interest of yours.
If you can find out any information, please let me know.
Thanks
Steve
