Strange stamp on this Hessian !!!

This joke would only cost you 6500 €....
I expected one like this on Ebay.....But....

I am afraid that I see nothing wrong with that, except the price. It was very common in the past for collector's to stamp or write their names in items from their collections. I had a sword once and some guy had scratched his social insurance number in the handle. I have owed many Pickelhaubes and caps with guy's names written inside, in ball-point pen. Its a shame, but that is commonly found. Was there something about the helmet that you did not like?
 
I agree with Tony. Nice helmet. The stamp in the liner is Sergio Semino's, who is a well known militaria dealer. He notably specializes in imperial german headgear.
