Strange Wurttemberg Helmet

Picked this up at a local flea market for $50. The parts seem to be real and very well fitted to this helmet shell. Maybe made a long time ago as a movie prop?

Any thoughts?

Interesting find to be sure. I wish these helmets could talk to us about the lives they led, even the reproduction ones.

This has been identified as a Wurttemberg Fire Chief helmet.

This is a really cool helmet, even if it isn't military.
