No returns accepted by the seller and the liner does not seem kosher to me, which is enough for me to render it suspicious.

Nothing like taking a piece of history and rolling it around on a slab of concrete for the sake of taking pictures. :x

Oh, and I agree, the liner does look to have been replaced.

The liner looks consistent with the wear on the rest of the helmet, which looks very clean and well cared for. My question would be the spike, I'd have to compare that with some German ones of the same age..... Just my thoughts.

Actually, I found an old helmet from Baden with the same spike, so who knows.... :/
