Since all my swords are attached to a figure, it's interesting to see what's revealed when you draw one from its scabbard.

I'd like to show you some of my most beautiful swords.
Here is a Baden gift saber. The handle is made of solid silver.

Excellent! I have a similar one with the same makers mark. All the swords I've seen from them are high quality

Thread 'Baden style gift saber - Help with officer ID'

This is a very fancy saber with a Baden infantry officer style guard and an impressive Damascus steel blade. The sword was a gift from one officer to another, the names are engrave on the blade. Honsell s/l Dänzer. I'm assuming they were wealthy officers in one of the Baden regiments (maybe artillery). If anyone with a copy of an officer's listing could find any further information on who these two were I would love to hear about it.
