He claims that this is a 100 % ORIGINAL , but there are a few odd things about this helmet ;
the yellow tone is so bright that it would never work as a camouflage ,unless you are in a
field of daffodils :D , and why was the liner or what was left of it removed?

Agreed, and the aging (rust) looks a bit forced to me. Perhaps the liner was cut out when the Rusting agent was applied?

I agree with Karel; even the shape of the shell itself looks weird/wrong.
This one has fake written all over it! :thumbsdown:

This goes to show that a 100% positive feedback don’t mean diddly squat ! :thumbsdown:

Sometimes it just means the buyers assumed they'd bought original helmets and left feedback according to their assumptions.

What`s you opinion???

I had a quick look in one of my reference books (A study on German helmets and uniforms 1729-1918 by Kube) and the shape of the helmet looks ok to me. Unfortunately, the interior of a M18 stahlhelm is not depicted in this book so I can't really comment on this. However, there is one thing I would like to emphasize about this auction, namely this seller offers no return policy. This is something that raises my suspicion.

Edwin

Total fake and a horrible one at that, no better way of saying it!!

As for the original helmet posted by Spiker. The shell looks original, isnt it the one with the long bill? The internal paint looks more grey to me than it should be. Didn`t the Czech army issue these painted in a similar grey? The camo is horrible [-X

Both of the helmets are fake. With a little metalwork, the cavalry type can be made passable as a display / reenactment piece. But, that's about it.
