Testing my new camera

Good question Garde U, one that I personally have not considered before. Historically, they are from the Weimar era not Imperial Germany so that may factor into some people's opinions. They are also of a slightly different construction than the traditional helme. However, it is legitimate German construction and excellent quality not a fake. These are way out of my league cost wise but I know that if I had my choice, I would want one pre 1918.

I know this is an old post
but the black name tag with the fine
print in ink
I saw these tags years ago in 35 mm color slides
copied for me by the I G helmet collector from
Stockholm , Sweden Jarl Hartze .
Jarl took the photos at the collection of W. Schmidt .
He had these same tags for his helmets .
I think also an American collector friend of mine
Tom Dolan also visited Schmidt and took some
photos , he made a set for me and once again
the black tags in the Schmidt collection.
Appears the I R 92 was once in his collection
