Before you move to the link to see the Pickelhaube, below are Mannschaften (Other Ranks) shoulder straps from the three units who wore this pattern of Pickelhaube.

A stunning haube you have there Tony!
I hope you don't mind posting a helmet here also, but do you think this officers haube is family of yours?... Always thought it is Fußartillerie Schießschule , but was never 100 % sure about that...

Not at all! Very nice Karel. With that Eigetumsstück Mannschaften extra-pattern Garde star, I do not think a commissioned officer would wear that star. Fähnrich perhaps?

It appears your chinscales are rounded not flat?

How about the Feldartillerie- Schießschule (Potsdam)?

Tony: Your Guard foot artillery helmet is very nice and a difficult variation to find. Congratulations on another great acquisition.

Since you posted such a nice Field Artillery School shoulder strap, here is an issue field artillery school helmet that is marked to the instructor detachment.

=D>Bob; What a wonderful helmet, is it from your collection?? You just don't see wonderful artilleries like Tony's and yours very often. Dick
