Never saw the plain lacquered leather style before, the look of that one is at least interesting. Could you imagine if they actually did that in the German army? Artillery red Pickelhaube, etc. I bet if somebody made up a table of 'branch of service' Pickelhaube, with shots of these various colored helmets, somebody would actually think it was true!
