The Jensen Collection Part II

An excellent collection for one so young! I certainly had nothing like that when I was your age. You have done very well! :) I am sure that all the members here would like to know how you are fairing in the Army so keep us posted when you can and good luck! 👍

A great collection, and a very nice camo M17! Is it marked, the camo helmet? It looks like the smaller size helmet, 62.
If so, these smaller size helmets are rare, most usual size often encountered is the 64.
Thank you so much Coert!

To be honest, I haven’t looked it over all to throughly, I’ll have to check and get back to you!

Oh wow I wasn’t aware of the size rarity, I’ll have to do some research into it tonight! Thank you so much!

Can’t thank you enough! Really proud of this collection and can’t wait to expand it more in time!

I’ll certainly keep you posted as the time draws closer, I’ll keep you all up to date when I can as well! 😁

Sadly the camo is a complete reproduction. Chinstrap liner paint all new. Rob
This is, bothersome…

What’s the best course of action going forward then?

I don’t want any forms of repos in my collection, I know the shell is real at least.

Just quickly notice the patina age wear etc my others are upstairs I will get some photos of them later

Just went in to a local shop and managed to trade it in, the lady who works there was able to give me a good deal on something I’d say was better!

M15 Pickelhaube, been looking for one of these for awhile now anyhow.

Congratulations on making that move, you can't go wrong with a nice M15 it looks very clean and all original. I think that the original to that helmet spike has been replaced by another at some time but that's not a big deal many reasons for it happening.

Your friend certainly is a nice guy, but I would be very diligent if buying from him in the future. I see several reproductions in the photo the one that really pops out is that WSS Zeltbahn on top of the bin in the back. I also have my doubts about the splinter helmet cover and the WSS Tropical tunics I can see.

Not saying he would try to rip you off but that he just may not be aware. Always remember just because a collection is 50 years old doesn't mean it's all right it just means that the reproductions if any are old and you have to be even more diligent.
