The Kaiser in the field

Steve,

taken on the occasion of the Kaiser's visit to the 103. Infanterie-Division on 8 May 1916 at L'Ecaille. One can just make out Generaloberst von Einem gen. von Rothmaler obscured by the officer with drawn sword nearest the Kaiser. The nearest officer with drawn sword is possibly Generalmajor Friedrich Wilhelm von Auer commanding 205. Infanterie-Brigade. Generalleutnant Paul Fleck, commanding VIII. Reserve-Korps nearest the two Leibgendarmerie NCOs.

Regards
Glenn
