So this happened before Christmas. After scrounging for many months and selling a few military antiques I finally found and was able to afford the helmet of my dreams. It sits proudly on my desk next to my GdC helmets and my French 1840s cuirassier helmet and cuirass.
I managed to sneak it past my wife who is still yet to comment on it - of course if she knew about it I would be a dead man.
The markings on the lions paws and nut sack are clear. The helmet shell is marked Osang, Dresden 1912.
