The Modell 1915 Offizier Pickelhaube

Wow Chas, who would have ever thought that one of those M15 spike tops would ever come up for sale! I wonder though if we encounter the same maker discrepencies as with the typical pre M15 officer spikes. Does one size really fit all?? However, it has been a long wait as I have had the base for at least 10 yrs. Very tempting but as you know funds are very limited right now. Thus, no SOS. Brian
 
Hi Brian:

Based on the examples in my collection, it should fit. However, as is the case with M15 Mannschaft helmets, some finial/bases mate more smoothly than others.

I'm watching the auction. Perhaps the price won't climb to high.
