This is original ,and so is the first one ,but the new paintjob and liner made it look new.

Don’t take my word for it ,but there are two examples of this metal helmet with mimicking of the reinforced sides in the museum Fordt de la Pompelle.

Why wouldn't we take your word for it Ed? Like I said in the previous, I'd never seen this type before, so this is a new one for me. Personally, I don't like overly restored helmets, so I'd have let the other go in any case.

I also thought the bead on the visor, but not neck guard edge was strange, but I suppose if they wanted to represent the visor trim on front, they might only bead the front, while turning the back over without an outward bead.
