The Smallest Officer Haube!

One of my customers sent this to me with most of the missing parts which were..... not original to the helmet. However, because of the small shell size it is impossible to reassemble a complete pickelhaube.

Obviously, a Prussian officer helmet.

Size 52 3/4 marked in pencil. I have seen OR's helmets sized 53 and 54cm but never anything this small! This might fit a small "new born" today but certainly no other human! I must add as well, this is not a kinder helme.

It looks like it’s the size of a thimble!

I'm shocked it's not a Kinder Helm, is it possible that it could have been a salesmen sample of a store display?

That is just such a tiny helmet and to think it fit an officer wow he must have been from the elite Wonka Oompa Loompa Chocolate Factory Guard Regiment.

Thanks for that reminder Chuck....I do remember your helmet now ! :) Man that was incredibly small!! This one is the smallest officer though, that I have ever handled. John...it has a name penciled on the inside and the construction is totally that of a normal officer piece.
Pete...that song title does not register perhaps some Brit music hall piece from WW1?

Sweet my fave band back in the 70's . Interesting factoid his brother is the TV detective Taggart! Rob
