Hey Ron,
That is an extremely rare visor-less model. Nearly all had front and back visors, but a very few did not have the front visor, and the rarest of all is the visor-less model. I saw a ORs M95 for sale for$700 a few years ago, it had the front visor missing. It was mentioned to the seller, and the next time I saw it, he had moved the Wappen to the back of the helmet....problem solved, and he still wanted $700 for it.

Some people are very determined....or maybe just dumb. :-"

If this seller thinks he can get this ridiculous price for this piece of crap, just let him try. Hopefully, potential buyers are better informed.

Best regards,

Edwin

I think you're all jealous (Keith, Brad, Edwin); Gus (aka Gsu) nailed it: This is a rare variant only sought after by few elite collectors... :puke:

I don't even have the patience to text the seller; if anyone does, please share his reply as I bet he'll stick to his description!

I beleive this was the PWKS or Tank Gunner (PanzerWagenKanonenSchusser) version, which lacked a front visor so the gunner could use his sights. Neck guard was removed, but the long, leather neck protector (as in a Feurwehrhelm) is missing. :-P ](*,) #-o

I think you are wrong, the first model did not have the removable liner.
Best

I won't believe ANY of you until I see the markings on the neckguard... no... wait... #-o (and no wise cracks about the lack of markings on officer helmets... unless you really want to make some)
