Yes , i've been trawling a lot of late . A lot of junk or made up pickel's and suspect stahlheim's . Its a minefield. Slowly learning and thanks to you guys not been stung yet .
 
Was just reading a posting on another site, where a collector posted a photo of a camo steel helmet he was thinking of purchasing and asked for options on it. One of the replies was that the responder had painted the helmet a couple of years ago as well as putting a new liner in it.

I no longer look to see if a piece is faked, instead I start out assuming it is and try to see if it is correct. Guess I'm getting cynical in my old age.


Question: I have in my collection a couple of US spiked helmets that were assembled in the 1950's from original unissued parts (100%) are they fakes?
