This Years Haul

I am waiting for my latest purchase to come in and I will take a group picture of this year's haul .

I just started back up collecting this May .

I have been away from the hobby for about 10 years. Escaping Katrina I packed up all of my helmets in large plastic containers and dropped them off at a friends house safe farther up north.

Luckily there was no damage to our house a month later we were allowed back into our house ( for a month armed police were keeping people out of there neighborhoods )

When I got my helmets back , I put them back on the shelf and did not touch them for almost 10 years .

Hopefully my recent purchase will come in today and I will post pictures.

Although not as sought after this is rarer than the death head variations and were used up to the end of the war .

I like this one very much. IF you take the plate off, could you please post how many mm's are between the mounting holes or posts?
