Looks good to me but as stated by 'pickelhauben' the wappen schould be switched by a EM one then it is back as it was a 100 years ago
Dont see anything else that gives a bad feeling
Good luck on this one if you schould try to win this one

Are the white stripes of the Cocades re-painted? I‘m not sure.

The Kokarden look repainted and they appear to be too small.
Either this is a very large size helmet or the Kokarden are smaller than 48mm.
When you look at the photo showing the Prussian Kokarde you can see a faint outline of a larger Kokarde.
Maybe it's just me.
An original Prussian cockade set is not hard to find.
Go for it.

John :)

John, It could be he side-post slid out of its original position. Nice plate by the look of it and it will be nice to display all on its own when an E.M. is found.

I like it, I would go for it if I was you.
An enlisted wappen is not so hard to find!

Nice shell but the liner is worn and, as mentioned by other members, you must find the correct eagle plate. In addition, both cockades are copies (you are not lucky with cockades!..). In my opinion these are too many issues for a helmet that is not very rare and of which I have often seen sparkling examples. As of me, I would pass on this one...

If anyone sees a good condition Ersatz felt at a fair price i'm your man !! As long as its not in the states as the postal fees are ridiculous !

Thanks for the input everyone , i'll carry on looking !
