First of thanks for all the feed back, im finding it easier to get a Camo than a Pickelhaube. What do you think of these two, I reakon I will buy one of them, just which one ??????. What are they worth, I dont mind paying a little extra for what is genuine, as im not in it to make money and in 20 years time who will care if I payed a few hundred to much.
More opinions would be great, then I can on and buy an Officers Pickelhaube. Thanks Lyndon

Item # 377: NEW! M16 camouflage helmet

This helmet is a consignment and is not in my possession. It is in the possession of the seller. He may be reached at the e-mail provided

This is an original and extraordinary example of a WWI German camo helmet. The vivid ochre colors are separated by not the ordinary finger-width black lines, but lines formed in the motif of twigs or small branches. This is truly a stunning helmet with very little wear. The liner is no longer present, but the rivets are intact and matching to the piece. This helmet comes with a certificate of lifetime guarantee of authenticity. Price is $825.00 USD. Please email me directly at [email protected]

Lyndon I know nothing of these helmets. I cannot comment on authenticity. However, the question we all tangle with is the quote above. I have several haubes that have odd things and I love them. However, if you buy something non-standard you always have to explain it away to others. I do not care but most collectors do. A perfecly standard model is most acceptable.

Im after an Officers in Brass, Im not quite sure which one, as Im not up with them yet, but the one with the Eagle. I will have a look at what you suggested.
Thanks Lyndon
