Yea a real beater. I bought one of these at the MAX years ago. I still have it. I must have been in one of those crazed collector modes where you just want to throw money at something Imperial. The visor is split where it folds over to fit the shell and the liner needs replacing...but who can do that? Tschapka top missing. This was a lesson for me...you can't kid yourself into thinking that money can be saved by purchasing a fixer uper. Better to save up and buy a complete tschapka. Brian
 
I asked Jan Kube himself once and he told me he had never seen a single removable Tschapka top for sale in his whole carrier...

PS: conversely I could make a whole section on the many (usually awful) fakes I have seen...
