Totenkopf Husaren

At the left: the Wachtmeister. Love this photo!!
-With his notebook: the "Backstein"/brick tucked between the Attila buttons. The second button was left open to hold the book. The "Spieß"/"pike" was the "Mutter der Kompanie"/Eskadron/Batterie/Mother of the Company. The Kompaniefeldwebel. In the barracks: Administration. Alte Armee: In battle: he carried a pike/Spieß. Making sure the formations were maintained and that no man stayed back.

From what I can see he appears to be 2 L H R 2
Kolpack looks light in color
There is a light pencil date on matt
bottom right
I can't quite make out the date
He is either active service
or if the date is a newer date
and he would be dressed out for "Cavalry Days "
At any rate,2 L H R 2.jpg I like the photo

Jean-Louis Larcade: The Braunschweig Husaren Regt Nr 17 Totenkopf pattern is called "Apotheker Totenkopf". Pharmacist deadhead.

LH's TKs are beautifully reproduced and require a great deal of knowledge to identify them. The difficulty lies in identifying a ‘coated’ TK, ‘officer’, Eigentum, commemorating the Weimar era, reproduction of the 20s and 30s for the cinema, etc.

Thierry I agree with all your comments.
The two Totenkopf you show, are you are showing replicas? Or originals?
