This piece is certainly a hodge podge of different parts. I can not understand why someone would stick an officer silk liner in a helmet already equipped with a fairly decent OR liner. The OR liner itself really reminds me of the firemans helmet liners installed on war surplus pickelhauben when they were converted after the war. I would draw your attention to the double row of stitching where the 2 ends meet at the back of the helmet. This is not regulation. Brian
