To me the stitching does not look right, and the buckles look to be plated, I do not think that would be something that one would never see.

Hi Steve, imo it's no good at all... Gus is right and also the fabric is the wrong one...
I've seen only a few originals in my 38 years of collecting and seen only a handfull of originals. I once even had the opportunity to purchase one, which I did of course...

The Ebay pouch appears to be one of several that Doug Smith found at the Stuttgart Arms show some years ago. I believe that it is real. However these examples are manufactured using an ersatz fabric and sometime in the past they were treated with something that smells like linseed oil. Not a great example. I will send Gus or Joe a photo of mine for illustration purposes.

Any chance we could see the entire thing (pistole+mag)?
 
Once again I will have to ask Gus to help with photos but I should probably start another post so as not to take over too much of the current thread.
 
Photos are posted on the other thread, but now I need a new keyboard, I should always put cling wrap over my keyboard before looking at George's photos, the drool is real hard on the connections.
