I'm looking for a tschapka in good condition at a fair price, Bavarian would be nice but to be honest i would consider any that you have to offer providing of course they are original ww1. I'm fully prepared to get blanked on this one but you have to try your luck don't you . :?

Tschapka are one of my favourite patterns of Imperial headgear. Unless it is complete, it will be very challenging to get whatever is missing, especially Feldzeichen or M1867 chinscales which are unique.
Many you see for sale are modified Pickelhauben trying to be passed off as Tschapka by a fraudster. In 45 years of collecting I have never seen a complete issued Bavarian example come available that was worth buying. . My only advice would be very selective, ensure it is complete, and don't hesitate to spend a lot to get an excellent example.
