I have a question on the 3.Garde Uhlanen Regiment Tschapka
page 99

"Rosette/post": Silver

I looked for some examples: all brass...

My Tschapka 3.GUR (OR) has brass Rosetten.

Appart from some errors for me the Field Guide is OK !

1. Fig 12.0V GUARD STAR: I think the date should be 1860 instead of 1806:
Mit Gott -9 o'clock; für Koenig -12 o'clock; und Vater- 3 o'clock; land 1860 -6 o'clock
2.page 94: (Nr1) LEIB instead of LIEB Kü Regiment
3.page 94: (Nr2) Pommersches instead of Pommeresches...
4.page 107: Feld Artillerie GARDE instead of GRADE
 
I went back and checked my references and found a conflict. I checked my own Tschapka and it is also brass or gold. I was in error.
Regarding the other comments:
Figure 12.0 Guard Star - absolutely right it should be 1860 NOT 1806. Big error, I'm sorry.

Jim,

I'm penciling in changes in my Field Guide, so I want to make sure I understand you correctly. All three Garde Stars on page 183, that is, Fig 12.0A, 12.0B, and 12.0VA are all supposed to say 1860 instead of 1806, correct?

That is correct. While you are at it:
Pg ix Dichotomous key figures
Pg 63 Guard Jäger 1860
Pg 68 Guard Machine Gun 1860
Pg 94 G du C and GK 1860, and the banner is wrong. Koenig should be at the top.
Pg 166 Telegraph 1860
Pg 171 Luftschiffer 1860
Pg 173 & 174 Flieger 1860

I am in the process of correcting my original plates and will use the correct ones in my future pubs. I am very sorry about this and apologize for any problems I may have caused. No excuse!

Thank you for providing the page information for the other corrections.

I can't speak for anyone else, but for me no apologies are necessary. Stuff happens! I'm just glad to have your book to use as a reference. I'm really glad you put it together.

I agree with Liongules, errors can always work their way into any publication, that is one thing great about this forum, it allows many proofreaders, and a quick errata to be published. in the internet age, there are too few people who are willing to put things down in print for fear of someone finding an error, and we have few reference books being published because of that.

The photographs are correct (blackened tombak chin scales & Rosetten)

The text : tombak- this is correct
but:
"blackened tombak chin scales & Rosetten" is not mentioned
