Unidentified pickelhaube

Hello,
I`m new to this forums, my name is Michael and im 22.
Couple of days ago i have found this pickelhaube in my family attic, has anyone any idea how old is it? Or any historical background?
Also, is it worth anything? I dont really think i will sell it because its more than possible its somehow historically relevant to my genealogy, but it would be nice to at least have the knowledge of what is it worth. Thank You with advance, and best regards!

Hi, sorry to tell you, but this helmet has been made in India within the last five years or so, and has little resemblance to the original article. Ones exactly like it are all over eBay.

Oh, too bad, but are you sure? Since it looks kinda old, and since was in the attic, i'd just assume its some kind of old piece :f

If you were to clean it up and sell it on ebay, you may get around $50 for it, but why bother? Clean it up and save it for costume parties and such. All in all, not really a very good repro either.
