I recieved this photograph of my Great-Great-Grandfather Ernst Rahn in his military uniform. Someone told me that they thought that think Ernst might be from 2. Garde-Dragoner-Regt. Kaiserin Alexandra von Rußland Garde-Korps, or the Dragoner-Regt. Königin Olga (1. Württembergisches) Nr.25 (Ludwigsburg) XIII Armee Korps, but suggested that I get a second opinion.
I was wondering if anyone knew anything about what regiment he would have been in based on his uniform. If this information helps any, Ernst was born in Prussia and served in the military somewhere around 1890.
Also I was wondering if Germany kept records of the soldiers in these armies. Thank you for the help
