Unusual Painted Camos Pic

I know many collectors who would call each and every one of these helmets fake.
You can miss many historical aspects of this hobby by strictly adhering to rigid rules set out in the German directives of the time.

I've seen a variation of these images but never these two. Thanks for showing these they interest me greatly.
 
That is a great picture, an excellent historical reference! Very primitive paint brushes.
