I'm sure most of you have already seen the upcoming Hermann Historica auction online.

There is a really nice example of a 1842 pickelhaube.

Question for folks who know more about these. Should there be threaded screws sticking out of the long, cylindrical nuts that hold on the chinscales?

I believe the decorative brass pieces are correct. Later models like the 1867 use a flat head steel screw.

They look good to me. Correct style if fixing for 1842 pattern.
