I spoke to Jesse Lebovics, Director of Historic Ships for the Independence Seaport Museum in Philadelphia, today. That museum is the home to the USS Olympia. Efforts have been successful enough that the ship will remain there for now. It is undergoing interim repairs until money can be raised for a more significant effort to bring the ship to drydock.

I'm very pleased that the ship won't be sunk now. =D>
 
Wasn't the USS Olympia one of the vessels used in the invasion of Russia at Murmansk in 1918?
 
I looked it up, April of 1918 the USS Olympia participated in the invasion at Murmansk.
