Hey we are not all scoundrels here, I know of this chap has a mixture of real and fake stuff but all at real prices, I am not sure if he is a con man or just not very clued up.
 
"...but all at real price..."... he is asking over L 3000,00 (starting price) for this ignominy!
Hard to assume he is just clueless and naive...
 
These people sell a wide variety of items, not just militaria-see their website. I don't have enough expertise in pickelhaubes to comment on the ones they have with any confidence,however my take on their British helmets is that for the most part they are genuine but very overpriced for the types of helmet and often the condition they are in. So much so that the same helmets have been coming round again and again on eBay for what must be years. I have no idea if they are naive, hoping to attract those with more money than knowledge, or hopelessly optimistic but I do wonder how they make any money!

They certainly score. But as you know you don't make money on business. You make money on repeat business. Reputation and relationships.

I take your point and have changed my mind he is a total b@##$@d :o
 
I don't like condemning the UK ebayers but it just seems that there are so many blatant scoundrels out there. I am half Scottish as mom was a war bride born in Edinburgh, I have family there . I am glad though, that I am not trying to collect over in the UK.

Of course I am not generalizing but its at least striking that a lof of fake stuff on ebay is offered from the UK :-k

Which probably makes it more difficult for legitimate dealers in the UK.
