Very small Austrian trench shield

Hi, I got this recently in a show in Slovenia, not far from the mountainous battlefields where Italians ans Austrians fought 1915-1918. I believe this to be an Austrian trench shield, but I could nt find any info or pic on the web. Dimensions are 19 cm x 23,5 cm. Does anyone knows more about this? Also, I m trying to figure out the value of this. Can anyone help me?

I have both a german and french relic condition "loophole" plate such as yours. Surprisingly, they were very inexpensive - around $50-$75 USD if I recall. The shipping was about the same as they are heavy.
