The Ulan Offizier: Erbgroßherzog Adolf Friedrich VI., von Mecklenburg [-Strelitz] (* 17. Juni 1882 in Neustrelitz; † 24. Februar 1918 Ebenda); Full Name: Adolf Friedrich Georg Ernst Albert Eduard between 1914 and 1918 Großherzog von Mecklenburg im Landesteil Mecklenburg-Strelitz.
-1908 to 1911 the Erbgroßherzog served in Potsdam in 1. Garde-Ulanen-Regiment der Preußischen Armee. 30. September 1911 he was promoted Rittmeister. That year he endet his active service. From then on he was à la suite in this Regiment.

Adolf Friedrich VI of Mecklenburg Strelitz served in the 1 Garde Uhlan Regt 1908-1911
The officer in the Garde Kurassiere Regt was Friedrich Franz IV of Mecklenburg Schwerin

that proved to be a very interesting read.
It seems that the life of all of the Royals was not so easy
