I know this is a stretch, but I'm looking hard for a nice WWII unnamed Purple Heart. My mother had one that had belonged to her uncle, my great uncle John E. Koski. He was killed in action in March 1945 and is buried in Belgium. She misplaced or lost the PH in a move years ago and I would like to try to replace it for her. I've found out some information about my great uncle and tracked down an original 5th Division patch (his unit), but I think it would be nice to give her the medal. I know I had seen it years ago and it was apparently unnamed for whatever reason. It was given to the family after the war, my mother had it after my grandparents passed away in the early 1980s.
My mother would probably pass it down to my nephew (her grandson). If anyone might have one or knows where I can find one please send me a message.
