While going though my junk parts box I came across a broken plate that appeared to be a little different. It was sitting on top of a line eagle that someone had painted gold and I noticed it was smaller than the other plate. I measured both plates and also the plate I have on shakos
Painted plate measure 115mm - correct for Infantry and Artillery helmets
Shako and Tschapka measured 95mm - correct for them
The broken plate measured 105mm - no idea what it was off of.
Note I tried posting this earlier and do not know what happened to it , so if it is posted twice sorry.
