I believe the helmet may belong to my friend David Hanson of WI, and he's having Gary Larson list it on eBay. David called me after coming back from the MAX Show, and offered it to me for $2,500, of which I passed as I didn't have the funds for it. I knew it was a wartime helmet from speaking with him, but I hadn't seen photos of it until it showed up on eBay. He said that he'd acquired it as partial payment on something he sold, (I presume at the MAX Show).
