Weapon identification time – need your help

I'm not really a weapons expert but I'll give it a try.
The first picture looks like a French machine gun,
the St. Etienne M1907.
Second picture could be a german MG08.
The machine gun in the front on the third picture is a french Hotchkiss M1914.
I can't help you out with the other ones.

Thank you I am looking for a clear picture of a french Hotchkiss M1914 preferably in Belgian service.

Joe,

My references are unfortunately in French but you will find quite a lot of pictures and plenty of information by following the provided links. :-x

The first machine-gun would be a French - Saint Etienne Model 1907T (T for transformed)
see :http://www.mitrailleuse.fr/France/StEtienne/StEtienne.htm
Specs : http://www.mitrailleuse.fr/France/StEtienne/1907T/StEt1907.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Pictures : http://www.mitrailleuse.fr/France/StEtienne/gallerie/STEgallerie.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The second machine-gun would be a German - MG08
see : http://www.mitrailleuse.fr/Allemandes/Mg08/MG08.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
MGA and MGK : http://www.mitrailleuse.fr/Allemandes/Organisation/Organisation.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The HotchKiss is on the third picture
see : http://www.mitrailleuse.fr/France/Hotchkiss/Hotchkiss.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I hope this will help and let me know if 'google-translate' gets limited... #-o

Pierre,

Thank you – that seems pretty complete. Now I know what I'm looking at. Now I just need a 600 dpi comparison of a Hotchkiss gun and a maxim.

Thank you.

Ref the German Mg sled configuration. Rather odd looking feedblock and not the standard MG08 issue pattern. I will need to look at the MG01 examples. But above all, look at the front armoured shield for the water jacket. Strange additions to it?? clamps or fittings?
