Found this: Ypres Salient: strange painting of a tommy wearing a Pickelhaube on the head and a broadie helmet arround his shoulder pulling an artillery piece through the mud.

Is this a well known painting ? Forgot where I found this...

Have not seen this one before. However, it makes sense. There are numerous post cards of Tommies wearing captured pickelhauben.
