Well, I certainly understand where you're coming from. Even if I were to win the lottery—well, perhaps I’d actually be worse off if I bought everything at once; the thrill would be gone. I simply don't have the means to just buy whatever I fancy on a whim. Things used to be very different, but that’s all in the past now. These are expensive pieces just to put on a shelf and look at; if a woman bought clothes like that—just to hang or lay in the closet—we’d think she wasn't quite right in the head, wouldn't we? Oh well, there has to be some excitement in the hunt and in figuring out what’s possible. It’s about looking forward to good future shows—though there are fewer and fewer good ones featuring really fine pieces; most of those are already in collectors' hands.
