What am I supposed to make of that?

I’m posting this here for the absolute beginners so they don’t get caught out—there is some real rubbish being offered for sale, let me tell you. Even I still fall into the trap sometimes, but I’ve become very cautious with all those offers; the pieces you see here aren't always the nice ones, you know, guys.

I wonder if it would be possible, or even wise, to put together a "chamber of horrors" pictures of fakes to help new members recognise the dangers of these things??
Would that be "fair/informed comment" or considered libellous? Brian should probably be the best to decide.

Persinally, I think that would be a good idea, to warn new members from losing lot's of cash.
When I started collecting them, I got burned too, had 2 hauben, but both were not correct too, some parts were good, but they were a mix of good parts, and rubbish ones.

Regards, Coert.

Maybe that would be a good idea here; we often see nice Pickelhaubes pass by, but never anything that actually convinces me—or it turns out to be a fake. After all, we’re all here to learn from one another—from both the good things and the mistakes—and that’s exactly the kind of area where we can help each other. Perhaps James would be open to posting something here for that specific audience.
